Hello and welcome to Studio 1500.  My name is Devon Bennett and I am a lampwork artist and jewelry designer.

Geeky Glasses

So, what's a lampwork artist?  In other words, I create glass beads and creations by hand using glass rods imported from Italy, a torch, a mandrel and a kiln.  The beads are annealed in a kiln to a hard finish (think Pyrex).  Each handcrafted bead is truly an individual work of art.  No two are ever exactly the same.  The beads are then combined with authentic gemstones and high quality findings to create a unique, one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.

Why Studio 1500?  Because glass melts around 1500 degrees Fahrenheit; ergo Studio 1500.

I have had a life long love of unique jewelry.  It led me to seek the ability to create these items myself.  After learning theory and procedure, I have honed my skills through practice, practice, practice.  The final result is a truly individual piece of custom jewelry.

I can design jewelry for any occasion; weddings (custom bride and custom matching bridesmaids), birthdays, engagements, anniversaries, holidays, expectant moms, or just because…..  With over 300 colors to choose from, I can create a special piece to match any ensemble.  Why settle for something typical and mass produced when you can wear a piece of art that is as individual as you are!
